Named after a casino in their hometown of Las Vegas, Sam's Town is the second The Killers album. It draws influences from Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, amongst others, for a more American sounding sophomore album. The album was produced by the legendary production team of Flood and Alan Moulder - the sound is vast, a bombastic wall of sound, devoid of subtlety and proud of it. Big and bold, daft and dazzling Sam's Town is a joy.
