Vocalist Jason Williamson and producer Andrew Fearn, continue with their caustic critique of austerity-led Great Britain on this, their 10th album.
The star of Sleaford Mods continues to be Williamson. His vocals have been described as 'punk without affectation, rap without appropriation, and social critique without the ideological can't, that makes pious liars out of otherwise well-intentioned would-be artists'. Often abrasive, invariably blunt and occasionally unhinged, his lyrics are regularly downright hilarious.
Thankfully their move from Harbinger to Rough Trade has not impacted on the quality of their output and 'English Tapas' is an essential purchase.
